The Team
Our Merchandising team develops transformative global product strategies ensuring the right assortment reaches the right place at the right time. We leverage deep marketplace awareness and guest insights to identify opportunities that deepen customer relationships, strengthen our brand, and deliver on long-term enterprise goals.
The Role
As Global Merchandising Manager, you’ll lead the development of seasonal merchandise strategies and roadmaps. You’ll drive the creation and execution of global product assortments by effectively leading your team in collaboration with Product, Brand/Marketing, and Guest Experience departments. You’ll be responsible for developing team members to deliver products that maintain brand consistency while ensuring regional relevance to maximize profitability across product classes, key items, and channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Global Merchants through coaching, guidance, and performance management
- Define class strategies based on short-range product strategy (2-3 years)
- Create global seasonal merchandise strategies in partnership with Brand and Creative teams
- Brief raw materials requirements and lead assortment architecture development
- Deliver global merchandising strategies to Regional teams
- Create and present seasonal direction including roadmaps, storytelling/campaigns, and product flow
- Develop strategic vision for franchises and product lifecycle management
- Approve sketches and prototypes against long-term category strategy
- Lead consumer and competitive insights gathering
- Manage color flow for global assortment to ensure consistent, profitable storytelling
- Ensure seasonal KPIs and targets are met
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BA, BSc, BBA, BComm or equivalent); Retail Management specialization preferred
- 8+ years combined people management and merchandising experience
- Proven ability to coach, mentor and lead teams
- Experience working with a global brand
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and merchandising software
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data across multiple channels and markets
- Financial acumen and understanding of retail mathematics
- Ability to balance analytical and creative responsibilities
- Sharp eye for product and color trends with awareness of macro lifestyle trends
- Strong understanding of global marketplace dynamics
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present to senior leadership
- Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $129,600-$170,100 CAD annually (based on experience, skills, and internal equity)

Work Arrangement
This is an In-Person role requiring onsite work 4-5 days per week at our Store Support Centre.
